carpe diem

I went to the woods because I wanted to live deliberately
I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life
To put to rout all that was not life,
And not, when I had come to die,
Discover that I had not lived.

David Thoreau.

I've just found your blog. Very impressive, good work.

If the world is going to live in peace we're ALL going to have to respect the RIGHT of us all to have our beliefs, disagree with others beliefs, BUT still RESPECT the other persons right to their beliefs.

When you create a blog you open yourself to scrutiny, you open your thoughts to censure, your feelings to examination. It is difficult to hear what can be at times, unjust, disrespectful criticism. DON'T let others anger, ignorance and intolerance turn your soul away from compassion and understanding.

We all share a very small planet. We MUST share it or perish. I find your blog, and your responses, to be a small step in the right direction.

In your religion when you say your prophets name you then say, "Peace be upon him." I say to you, as one human to another, "Peace be upon you."

wonderful! peace be upon you too! (could i just add that is precisely what we say to fellow human beings too "salam alaykum"- literally means "peace be upon you").
here's another quote i'll add, along similar lines to "carpe diem" (seize the day!), from robert herrick (1591–1674):
"GATHER ye rosebuds while ye may,
Old Time is still a-flying:
And this same flower that smiles to-day
To-morrow will be dying."
and I'll add, tomorrow will be "fertilizing daffodils", as Mr. Keating said (from Dead Poets Society)...
gosh, i love that man!
