boycotting syndrom!

in a world full of preconceived ideas... people trying to hide the truth... people fighting the light... people ripping other people's right to think... everyone is being the judge of others... let us take a deep breathe... and reflect upon...
The master says:"From now on -- and for the next few hundred years -- the universe is going to boycott all those have preconceived ideas. The energy of the Earth has to be renewed. New ideas need space. The body and the soul need new challenges. The future is knocking on our door, and all ideas -- except those that are based upon preconceptions -- will have a chance to appear. "What is important will remain; what is useless will disappear. But let each person judge only his own concepts. We are not the judges of the dreams of others. In order to have faith in our own path, it is not necessary to prove that another's path is wrong. One who does that does not believe in his own steps." paulo coelho--maktoob

The man behind the story!

The Man behind the story…
"ان الله و ملائكته يصلون على النبي يا ايها الذين امنوا صلوا عليه و سلموا تسليما" الأحزاب 56
“Allah sends His salat (Graces, Honors, Blessings, Mercy) on the Prophet (Mohammed PBUH), and also His angels (ask Allah to bless and forgive him). O you who believe! Send your Salat on (ask Allah to bless) him (Mohammed PBUH), and (you should) greet (salute) him with salutation.” Q 33:56

In a beautiful poem written by Imam Bousiri… titled the Mantel “alburda”… the poet praised Prophet Mohammed PBUH and I quote…

--It is sufficient for you as a miracle (to have so vast) knowledge in an unlettered person.
--In the period of ignorance, and such noble etiquettes in an orphan.

In this beautiful video featuring Yusuf Islam… he performs the old famous “tala’a albadru alina” [O the moon rose over us]… the same one the ansar of madina greeted Prophet Mohammed PBUH when he first came to madina… and then Yusuf Islam sang a new song he wrote for Prophet Mohammed PBUH called “the wind east and west”… it is surely worth listening to it…

Prophet Mohammed is indeed the best man that was ever created… he was the last of God’s messengers who were all sent to help people find their ways to worshipping none other but the Only God… he came agreeing on the straight way that his preceding messengers… he came with message of love and peace… of balance and harmony… of giving rights and having them… of total submission to God… he came as a mercy to the humankind… to free the minds, hearts and bodies of degradation and darkness…
And now after 1426 of his biggest moves of beginning an independent Islamic community… where he didn’t fought nor shed a drop of blood… where he was greeted by people who believed in what he was preaching and submitted along with him to the All- Mighty God… millions of people all over the world are still remembering him… thanking God for the greatest bless of sending Prophet Mohammed PBUH to help us see the light…
O dear Prophet of Allah… I’m sorry for what the ignorants are doing… you are above them all… you are the beloved of Allah… you are the best of mankind… no matter what they do… they can’t change that fact…
May Allah help us to be better Muslims at such hard times… May Allah guide us to the Straight Path… Amen
Happy New Hijri Year!!!

sometimes... we take life too seriously... that nothing seem to mean anything... and everything sounds like nothing...
well... when life gets rough... we all need a good laugh... even laugh at something that has no meaning in itself but a good silly laugh...
and what is life? thou shalt knoweth here...

destined art

The sculptor, Michelangelo, was once asked how it was that he could create such beautiful works. "It's very simple," he answered. "When I look at a block of marble, I see the sculpture inside it. All I have to do is remove what doesn't belong." The master says: "There is a work of art each of us was destined to create. That is the central point of our life, and -- no matter how we try to deceive ourselves -- we know how important it is to our happiness. Usually, that work of art is covered by years of fears, guilt and indecision. But, if we decide to remove those things that do not belong, if we have no doubt as to our capability, we are capable of going forward with the mission that is our destiny. That is the only way to live with honor." Maktoob, Paulo Coelho

relational architecture

As an architect I come to believe that architects not only can shape the built environment… but also they give the people a chance to interact with their environment… shaping their urban life by their own… for me any piece of art or any spatial architecture… if it present all its meaning and experience by itself giving small margin for different people’s interpretation I think is a failing…
Art and architecture should be about allowing people to live and invent their own events to that space or piece… projecting themselves… being truly the signifiers…

As a part of a project… called “relational architecture”… here is something called body movies… where a 2D façade is turned from merely being only seen or observed as an image… into a stage where people in the street can perform… very interesting piece of architecture and installation… click here

cast away

[[[Chuck: “We both have done the math… Kelly added it all up… she knew she had to let me go… I added it up… knew that I… I lost her… cuz I’ll never get off that island… I was gonna die there… totally alone… I was gonna get sick or get injured or something… the only choice I had… the only thing I could control… is when... and how and where that was gonna happen… so… I made a rope… and I went up to the summit… to hang myself… I had to test it… you know… of course… you know me… and the way the log snapped the limb… of the tree… I couldn’t even kill myself the way I wanted to… I had power over NOTHING… that’s when this feeling came over me like a warm blanket… I knew… somehow… that I had to stay alive… somehow… I had to keep breathing… even there was no reason to hope… and all my logic said that I would never see this place again… so that’s what I did… I stayed alive… I kept breathing… and one day that logic was proven all wrong because the tide came in… gave me a sail… and now here I am… am back… in Memphis talking to you… I have ice in my glass… and I’ve lost her all over again… I’m so sad that I don’t have Kelly… yet am so grateful she was with me on that island… and I know what I have to do now… gotta keep breathing… because tomorrow the sun will rise… who knows what the tide could bring?”]]]] from cast away

we can plan… we can make our choices… but no matter how perfect our plans are… and no matter how right we feel our choices are… there is He… to bestow His infinite mercy on us… teaching us… that no matter how hard we try to control our lives… we won’t…

in our weakness for Him… we are strong… and in our ignorance of the future… we can enjoy our present time…

so if a storm drifted us to faraway... who knows what the tide will bring...

in the name of Allah

And so finally am blogging… I’ve been giving it more thought than I should… but finally am here… it is an extraordinary world that we are living in… with everything that is happening… in this rapid speedy going life… I can’t forget… to always… freeze a bit… look around… and reflect upon the world around me… God has been so great with me… and in my reflections I feel closer to Him… and I thank Him for the wonder-full life he had given me…
So in His name… I shall start…
In the name of Allah, most Merciful most Gracious…
